Brand Guidelines

1 · The mark

The RoadShare symbol is the Trefoil: three road segments of equal length meeting at one junction. It says that separate properties arrive at a single shared decision. It is never drawn as a house, a roof, a shield, a machine or a handshake.

The symbol is almost always presented inside the Plate — a solid square field of RoadShare Red or Ink with the Trefoil knocked out in white. The Plate is part of the identity, not a background: it gives the mark a container the brand owns and makes it survive at favicon size.

2 · Construction

The Trefoil is drawn on a 200-unit square and is never redrawn by eye. Every arm is identical in length, angle and weight; caps are butt (square), never rounded.

3 · Clear space and minimum size

Clear space is one quarter of the Plate width (P/4) on all four sides, measured from the Plate edge — or from the Trefoil's outer extremities when the bare symbol is used. Nothing enters that margin: no type, no rules, no photography, no other logo.

Below 20 px, thicken the band to 30–34 units so the arms hold; never scale the 26-unit band below 1 device pixel.

4 · Logo variants

Four approved lockups. The horizontal lockup is the default for product UI, documents and email; the stacked lockup is for square and poster formats; the Plate alone is for app icons, favicons and avatars.

The wordmark is always uppercase, always one word, always flush left of or below the mark — never above it, never centered, never stacked as two lines.

5 · Color

One red, one ink, one ground. Red is a structural color — the Plate, the primary action, the poster statement — not a decorative one. There is no secondary accent and no gradient anywhere in the identity.

Red on Ground clears 3:1 — enough for the Plate, icons and display type, not for paragraphs. For body-size text in red, use #B01F08 (Red 700). Map-state colors are drawn from the Ink and Red ramps only; do not introduce green, blue or amber status colors without extending this document.

6 · Typography

One family: Archivo (variable, weight 100–900 and width 62–125). The wordmark is a specific instance of it, not a default, and it is locked.

All type is flush left. No centered headings, no centered button labels, no justified paragraphs.

On map screens, place the lockup on a solid White or Ground panel — never directly on tiles or aerial imagery.

9 · Assets and code

Everything below is production-ready. The mark is one path with three subpaths; do not convert it to a filled outline unless a tool requires it.

Archivo is licensed under the SIL Open Font License and may be self-hosted. Ship the variable font, not static weights — the identity uses width 112 and weight 500, which no static cut provides.
